Plenary speakers


Ales Čerin, a Master's degree holder in pharmacy,  is a husband, father, grandfather, an entrepreneur, a scout, a lecturer and a blogger at his ‘Preprostost’ (Simplicity) blog. In the family, society and business he advocates ‘simpler choices." His career started in the pharmaceutical company Lek d.d. where he was responsible, among other things, for the management of the professional staff in Quality control. Since 2003 he has been in charge of the Edusatis d.o.o company engaged in training and consulting in the areas of ​​governance and management of laboratories, improving quality management systems and building leadership competencies. He was a local Scout group leader, a leader of the national organization of adult Scouts and a member of the World Scout Committee of the International Scout and Guide Fellowship (ISFG). In collaboration with the Social Academy in Ljubljana he develops and provides leadership training "I lead, therefore I am." He is co-founder and contributing writer at Časnik.si web portal.


Dr. Roxanne Meshar is currently a co-host on “Access to Democracy,” a local public television show featuring community leaders. She also co-hosts an online conversation series called “Jumpstart” sponsored by Bolder Givers – a non-profit organization helping people to donate more of their income and to do it effectively. She has more than twenty years of business experience and was a pastoral associate at St. John Neumann Catholic Parish. Dr. Meshar taught Catholic theology at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota for nearly ten years. She received her doctorate from Catholic Theological Union (CTU), Chicago, Illinois. She has authored several books, is a public speaker and provides adult education focused on the common good.
